Meatless Monday

By Tracey Hall
Did you know that in 2017,vegan orders increased 19 percent? This analysis was done by GrubHub, the online food ordering website. Meat substitutes were found to be ordered 5 percent more on Mondays than the rest of the week.
GrubHub believes the following of the Meatless Monday movement has attributed to plant-based food growth. The movement is a public health initiative from The Monday Campaigns, a nonprofit organization in association with The Lerner Centers for Public Health Promotion at Johns Hopkins, Columbia and Syracuse universities.
This health initiative was founded based on research that shows Monday as the day people are most willing to start and stay with a new behavior.
