We all have so many memories of growing up and being able to ice skate on our local lakes and ponds. This winter brought back that special treat and the community has wasted no time in getting out there on the ice! According to the Spring Lake Police Department: “The ice on the Spring Lake was tested on January 2nd was deemed acceptable for group activity. The designated safe area is clearly roped off near the flagpole at Third & Passaic Avenues. Please be respectful of the neighbors and be careful on the ice.” Lights were brought in so we can enjoy skating at night-time. There’s something nostalgic about skating outdoors. The experience is worth sharing with our kids and making memories for them to carry in to adulthood.
