Snow days call for online shopping. And the frigid temps have us obviously thinking about winter shoes.
And shoes… shoes, are easy to love. But boots? Strapping on boots for some of us is a Fashion problem! I personally struggled, searching, whining, in denial of the cold to adapt my sense of fashion to the sometimes unbearable weather. Until one day, walking the streets of Manhattan looking cute but with feet frozen, I promised myself: never again.
Coming to terms with winter, as it will continue to come, I set out on a mission to find my loyal friends to weather the cold.
Here are our top 3 picks:
1. Riding Boots. Camel Riding Boots to be exact. This is the BEST INVESTMENT you will ever make. Not only are riding boots always on trend, the color goes with everything and they will carry you over to spring and then the fall. My favorite ones are by Coach. So worth the splurge. I’ve owned the same pair for 6 years and they’ve only got more comfortable and the worn leather more beautiful with time. You can get a pair here.
2. Ankle Bootie. This should be your go to heel for the cold. It’s versatile to dress up or down. My favorite pair is The York Bootie by Michael Kors. A little splurge that will stand the the test of time as well. You can get a pair here.
3. Snow Boot. Snow boots can be clunky, heavy and quite frankly, ugly. Have no fear however, I found a pair that will not only keep your feet warm, but will also up your fashion game. I get so many compliments when I wear my Mata Women’s Fur Lace-Up Waterproof Winter Boots. They are beyond cute and so warm. They are originally $279, but you can get a sweet Groupon deal and get a pair for only $39 here.
