Big news from Operation Oyster: Two Rivers. We have successful spat set at our #navesink river oyster nursery. Oyster larvae, which are nearly microscopic in size, were added to the tank in late June, where they attach to shell and begin to form baby oysters, also known as spat. The Navesink spat tank, which is set up at The Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank, NJ, was purchased with a gift from Metrovation, a property ownership and management company that operates The Grove at Shrewsbury and Brook 35 Plaza.
