It’s fitting that the six month anniversary of Jersey Shore Scene falls within Small Business Week. This venture was developed after working many years in media and trying my hand at putting out a beautiful and informative site. It sure sounded easy! The upside is I have learned so much and always knew how I wanted it to look and what I wanted it to say. The downside was not having a technical background to actually create a website!
As a small business owner, I suggest surrounding yourself with people that DO know what they’re doing and don’t get dismayed if you feel overwhelmed. Eventually, things do make sense! It’s also imperative to network and use the power of connections. I cannot begin to thank the many business communities that have pitched in along the way, starting right here in my own town.
Small businesses are the backbone of the economy. Jersey Shore Scene will always support the “Shop Local” mindset. Our stories are about the local scene written by local people. You’ll read about the great shopping and restaurants along our Main Streets. Being mindful of body and soul and also how to protect our shore, and the wildlife that reside here with us.
Take a minute to check out some of our posts- we now have six months worth of great content! I encourage you to submit suggestions on anything local in the comment section. Sign up for the newsletter. If you find something you like, please share. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook- this is how Jersey Shore Scene will continue to grow.
Most importantly, I want to thank my writers, my partners in content, and my readers. Looking forward to another six months and for many years to come!
Thank you
