Lunch Break Remains Open- “We’re Not Going To Miss A Meal!

In keeping with our mission of caring for the health and safety of our community in light of the COVID-19 virus, especially our more vulnerable population, Lunch Break, 121 Drs. James Parker Blvd. will be improving certain procedures for its nutrition programs and social services, effective Monday, March 16th through Tuesday, March 31st, 2020.  

We appreciate the public’s cooperation in complying with these improvements and want to assure the community we will remain a beacon of light to all those we serve.  These procedures are in effect until further notice. Please note that specific circumstances will be handled on an individual basis. We also encourage the elderly and those at-risk to remain at home.  Please refer to CDC guidelines:

Adds Board President John Klein, “Lunch Break continues to adapt to the current situation. The safety of our community is first and foremost.”


Meal service: All meals will be distributed “to go” at the blue front door of the dining room, including breakfast, hot lunch, Friday Community Dinners and Saturday breakfasts.  Hours of distribution remain the same as specified: Mon. – Fri., 8:30 – 10 a.m., Continental breakfast; 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., hot lunch; Community Dinner, 6 – 8 p.m.; Saturday breakfast, 10 a.m. – noon. 

Client Choice Pantry: Bagged groceries will be distributed at the back door of the Client Choice Pantry as previously assigned. 

Farmers Market: Will continue.

 Homebound delivery: Normal distribution.


Clara’s Closet/SuitUp: These services are temporarily suspended.  Call for emergency needs, (732) 747-8577, Ext. 3022.

Life Skills: ESL classes temporarily suspended. All coaching will be conducted via phone. For further information, please call (732) 747-8577, Ext. 3200.


Donations of clothing, promwear and non-food items are suspended at this time.

Non-perishable and drop-off monetary donations will be accepted at the rear donor door, Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., and Sat., 9 a.m. – noon.
