It’s Pumpkin Picking Season!

Looking for a fun fall family activity? Luckily, the rain will be gone in time for this weekend. Pumpkin picking is always a great way to bring in the fall season and get ready for Halloween!

Here are a few local farms and orchards that have great pumpkin selections:

  • What to expect: This farm offers pumpkin picking along with interactions with rescued farm animals in a peaceful setting.
  • When: Check their website or call for weekend hours.
  • Where: 1923 Baileys Corner Road, Wall.
    • What to expect: Pick-your-own pumpkins are available until October 31st. A cash-only hayride can take you to the pumpkin fields, but you can also walk. There is no admission or parking fee.
    • When: Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Closed on Tuesdays).
    • Where: 91 Wemrock Road, Freehold.

 

    • What to expect: Besides pumpkin picking, you can enjoy a corn maze, pony rides, and hayrides. Admission is free, but some attractions may have a fee.
    • When: Saturday, October 11, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, October 12, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Where: 178 Route 34, Holmdel.
    • What to expect: A simple pumpkin-picking experience with no admission or parking fees. There are no hayrides or corn mazes here, just the pumpkins.
    • When: Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
    • Where: 321 County Road 537, Colts Neck.
    • What to expect: Enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch for picking, along with other activities like a corn maze and a petting zoo.
    • When: Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m..
    • Where: 73 Rues Road, Cream Ridge.
