Brielle, NJ – 191 golfers hit the links on Monday, July 12th at the Manasquan River Golf Club to raise an estimated $91,500 for the non-profit organization, Holiday Express. Established by Tim McLoone in 1993, Holiday Express delivers music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.
The event was a huge success thanks to many generous individuals and businesses including presenting sponsor Jersey Mike’s Subs. The hot and humid day didn’t deter golfers who made the 19th annual outing an amazing day. The day included breakfast, 18 holes on the private picturesque course, lunch, cocktail hour, and an awards dinner. Golfers were treated to various treats along the course that included fresh crab cakes from McLoone’s Restaurants, tasty cocktails courtesy of Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Shore Point Distributing Company, and cold ice cream treats compliments of Holiday Express Volunteers and supporters Mike and Maureen Staub.
Proceeds from the Golf Classic will improve the quality of life for the 27,000 adults and children being served by Holiday Express during the 2021 holiday season. Holiday Express serves the mentally and physically disabled, the isolated, individuals in addiction and recovery programs, the poor and the homeless and children with serious illnesses.
