Whether you’ve got leftover cranberry jelly or not, these treats will be a hit at your next holiday gathering! So tasty, you may not want to wait for a holiday!
Ingredients:
1 & 1/4 cup butter, softened, divided
1.5 cup packed brown sugar, divided
3.5 cup old-fashioned oats, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 can (14 ounces) whole-berry cranberry sauce
½ cup finely chopped walnuts(optional if allergies)
Zest of one orange
½ cup chopped orange pulp
Directions
In a large bowl, cream 1 C. butter and 1 C. brown sugar-when light and fluffy combine 2.5 C. oats and flour. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until crumbly.
Press into a greased 13×9-inch baking pan. Spread evenly with cranberry sauce.
In a microwave, melt remaining butter; stir in the walnuts, remaining brown sugar and oats. Sprinkle over cranberry sauce. Bake at 375° until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes.
Cool & cut into bars.
