Slade Dale ”Christmas in Spring”

Recycled Christmas tree deployment time is upon us once again! You can help spruce (ha!) up our Slade Dale Nature Preserve living shoreline project by placing recycled Christmas trees into branchbox breakwaters along Beaverdam Creek. This work helps reduce erosion and restore coastal habitat.

Please join us for annual maintenance on our living shoreline project at Slade Dale Sanctuary in Point Pleasant, NJ.

We will be adding recycled Christmas trees collected over the winter to the branchbox breakwaters in Beaverdam Creek. Some of this work will require volunteers to be in the water, so bring waders or a wetsuit if you have them. We will be able to provide a limited amount of waders. However, there will also be tasks that don’t require you to be in the water if you are not comfortable or able.
