The JJL Foundation Awarded Another Grant To A Grieving Family In Need

Theresa O’Brien of Wall Township lost her husband Matt to COVID in 2021. With 2 young children, Matthew 10 and Delia 4, the loss took a significant toll on the family, requiring special services and intervention to support the children.
With the loss of their income and the need for special care, the financial impact caused the family to also lose their home to foreclosure, which they are being forced to vacate next month. Through Lynn McCabe’s good work in the grief community, the family’s immediate need was identified and we were able to award Theresa a grant today to help with the transition to temporary housing.
The JJL Foundation is a local non-profit organization with the mission of providing financial support to the grieving community. This is one of four grants given in the last eight months, all to local families that have lost a loved one and are in significant need.
Our next fundraiser is this Friday at Leggetts Sand Bar in Manasquan. Come out and support our cause at the March Madness event this Friday, 5-9.
Register at the door. $50.00 entry and all proceeds will go to The JJL Foundation.
