Sentimental Journey “Saluting Our Veteran’s With Swing”

This Saturday, November 6th at 3pm, Sentimental Journey Big Band takes to the Jersey Shore Arts Center’s Palaia stage to salute our veterans with the stirring music from the Swing Era. These jumping melodies motivated people to dance or sing, and moved our nation on towards victory in World War II. Our patriotic swing music continues to be relevant in the demanding times of the 21st century. Additionally, Sentimental Journey will be performing military service songs from each branch along with some popular patriotic favorites. Tickets can be purchased online at JerseyShoreArtsCenter.org
Admission is general seating at $15 per person.
Vocalist Altha Morton has appeared throughout the East coast singing Big Band, Jazz, Country, Gospel, and Pop music. Some of her career highlights include national record releases, opening for Johnny Cash, Bobby Bare, Johnny Lee, and Mel Tillis.
Sentimental Journey was formed in 1991 by Frank Richetti who played with the Second Marine Air Wing Band during World War II, and performed with our band until he was 96 years old!
