Seals Are Sleeping On The Beaches, But Please Keep Your Distance!

Content by The Marine Mammal Stranding Center ~

Lots of seals sleeping on beaches today. We ask that everyone stay 150 feet away and let them rest. Please call our hotline if you spot a seal- 609-266-0538. We have volunteers monitoring many of them and so far not a single seal needs our medical intervention. Let’s keep it that way! Seals will bite it they feel threatened, so please let others know. Like and share our post to spread the word, and leave us a note that you are sharing- Thanks!

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center (MMSC), with the privilege and responsibility of housing the only marine mammal stranding facility in New Jersey, is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of stranded or otherwise stressed marine mammals and sea turtles. Since 1975, MMSC has responded to nearly 3,500 animals across the region. The MMSC is a private, not for profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on public support to continue its lifesaving and educational work.
