Lunch Break, the food security and social service organization, is transforming its warehouse space into a winter workshop during the annual Holiday Gift Program Drive Nov. 6-27th, 2023. It’s the most wonderful time of the year when the halls are decked with holiday gifts provided by generous donors to benefit low-income, financially struggling families unable to afford presents for their children.
The Holiday Gift Program in 2022 distributed gifts to more than 2,100 children. The goal this year is to exceed 2022 numbers as the need for parents to make their children’s wishes come true is even more present.
“We are so blessed to have such a generous outpouring of kindness for our children each holiday season, and this year, thanks to our wonderful community members, I trust our families will once again be able to provide gifts for their children, alleviating the stress of the season,” said Executive Director Gwendolyn Love.
Individuals, businesses and corporations are encouraged to get into the holiday spirit by purchasing new toys for children newborn to 10 years old and gift cards for ages 11-17. For more information, contact Fatima Carranza at fcarranzza@lunchbreak.org.
Holiday gift donations will be accepted from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-noon on Saturdays at the warehouse, 968 Shrewsbury Ave. (Unit 5), Shrewsbury.
Lunch Break thanks its donors and volunteers for their generous support in making a child’s holiday a joyous occasion.
Toys and gift cards will be distributed to families during a holiday shopping day on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023 at Tower Hill First Presbyterian Church in Red Bank.
Lunch Break is a 501(c)3 organization located in Red Bank, NJ, providing food, clothing, life skills, and fellowship to residents of greater Monmouth County. All Lunch Break services are free.
