Love Makes The World Go Round

By Carol Wilson ~

Quote by W.S. Gilbert: “It’s love that makes the world go round.”

Happy February!  Love is in the air! Penguins cuddle, squirrels snuggle and koalas kiss…  There’s so much love to go round.

Let us be ‘Love Spreaders!’  The benefits of spreading love ripple out through ourselves, the people in our lives and our environment.

Spreading love lowers stress levels, enhances our/others’ mental and physical well-being levels, releases positive hormones, creates a better world, shows unity and strength.

There is nothing like the vibration of LOVE. It makes us feel good and it makes others feel good.  Couple it with the frequency of gratitude and we have a winning formula for life!

Let us be kind – we can do random acts of genuine kindness.  We can smile more when we walk down the street, open doors for strangers (even women can open doors for men — ladies can be gentlemen too!), give a genuine compliment.

Let us notice ourselves in others and remember that we are all One.  Let us send love to everyone, especially those who irritate, provoke or scare us.  I believe love is the only solution to hatred, war, and destruction, not complaints, not judgments.

Let us express acts of love and kindness to animals, plants and insects too, we are their guardians.

Let us acknowledge others by saying ‘hello.’  People love to be acknowledged and this can have a profound effect on their day and all the other people they interact with.

Let us practice giving without the need for receiving.  Giving could be in the form of a poem, a prayer, a generous and thoughtful act, a bunch of wildflowers, the giving of our attention or time.

I love this:  Let us give thanks for all the mistakes we have made in our lives that taught us valuable lessons.  The strong and capable person we are today has come from what went wrong yesterday.

Let’s give away free hugs whenever we see the opportunity.  Humans are wired to be touched. From birth until the day we die, our need for physical contact remains.

May we always let the special people in our life know that they are appreciated.  Let us remember to hug, kiss and verbalize our love every morning (or whenever we see them.)

Love, affection and kindness to others is what makes life worth living.

Let us think about what we can do to start spreading love all over this planet.  It only takes one tiny act to start the snowball of heartfelt love.  Let us open our heart space and spread some unconditional love. Carol Wilson
