Lakehouse Music Academy Announces Biggest Party of the Year On 5/21!

NEW RAIN DATE:
First-Ever Block Party to Celebrate 10 Years of Music Education and Benefit Asbury Park Music Foundation
Lakehouse Music Academy gears up to celebrate its 10-year anniversary with its first-ever block party. The one-day event will take place on Lake Ave. on May 21st, 2023, and it’s set to feature an incredible lineup of local performers who are both longtime and emerging figures in the local music scene.
The Biggest Party of the Year
It’s going to be a day that Asbury Park locals and visitors won’t forget, featuring local vendors, an exclusive Asbury Park Brewery beer garden, and all-day performances. The lineup includes Alexander Simone & Whodat?, deSoL, Des & The Swagmatics, Sonic Blume, Kevian Kraemer, 8dayzstr8, Hooper, Daughter Vision, Quincy Mumford, Chill Smith, Jake Thistle, and some surprise special guests.
The Asbury Park Brewery, Lakeland Bank, Madison Marquette, and Tony Pallagrosi are all proud sponsors of the event. Proceeds will be donated to the Asbury Park Music Foundation, which is dedicated to providing access to high-quality music education programs to underprivileged children in Asbury Park.

Music Saved My Life

The event will support the nonprofit Asbury Park Music Foundation. Through the Music Saved My Life program, the Asbury Park Music Foundation ensures that students from Asbury Park and Red Bank have the opportunity to take music lessons at Lakehouse, join a band, perform at legendary venues and become part of our dynamic community. Asbury Park Music Foundation unites communities through music and opens doors for students with limited resources but unlimited potential.

A Decade of Music Education

LHMA has been providing real-life, relevant music education for a decade. The academy has grown from thirty students in 2013 to over one-thousand students today, offering music lessons, songwriting sessions, and music production curricula for all ages, including adults. Additionally, LHMA hosts a “Big Gig” at iconic Asbury Park venues like the Stone Pony, The Wonder Bar, and Asbury Lanes, concluding and showcasing the student’s semester of learning and rehearsing.

Founder Jon Leidersdorff expressed his enthusiasm for the celebration, saying, “We can’t wait to celebrate with the community that has supported us for the past decade. It’s been an incredible journey for us, and we couldn’t have done it without Asbury Park. We’re thrilled to be able to give back to the community and support the Asbury Park Music Foundation with this event.”Don’t miss out on the fun when Asbury Park comes alive on May 20th, 2023. Mark your calendars and get ready to party on Lake Ave. with the incredible Lakehouse community!
