#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity to takes place today, May 5, 2020, as a response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
One of the best ways to get involved is in your own community. We’ve created a list to help you find local non-profits that desperately need your assistance:
The FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties is now Fulfill. We’ve changed our name because we’re doing more than ever to change lives in our communities for the better. Today we focus on more than food distribution. It reflects our commitment to fulfill more of the needs of our neighbors and win the battle against hunger.
Ending hunger in our communities is a complex challenge, so Fulfill provides a full suite of programs to provide the resources people need to become self-sufficient.

We strive to break the cycle of poverty for those we serve and guide our community members in need to self-sufficiency and healthier, more productive lifestyles.
We serve everyone with compassion and dignity. We will not miss a meal!
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
The Holiday Express mission is to deliver music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.
Founded in 1993 by Tim McLoone, Holiday Express believes no one should be alone at the holidays. Our programs use the healing power of music and friendship to improve the quality of life for those often forgotten.
BBBSCNNJ provides one-to-one mentoring for youth ages 6-18 through our Community Based, School-Based, Workplace, College, Bigs in Blue, Kids Club, and Back on Track Programs. By placing children in a quality mentoring relationship, we are able to provide them with the tools they need to become competent, confident, and caring members of their community.
Child Care Resources is a not-for-profit agency that was founded in 1995 to help coordinate, assist, and strengthen child care services. As Monmouth County’s contracted child care resource and referral agency, Child Care Resources serves nearly 3,300 children every year through child care subsidy assistance.
High-quality child care is a community resource that supports families, contributes to economic productivity, and nurtures children’s growth.

The American Littoral Society promotes the study and conservation of marine life and habitat, protects the coast from harm, and empowers others to do the same. Since 1961 we have empowered people to care for the coast through advocacy, conservation, and education.
Rescue, Rehabilitate, Release, Preserve
The Marine Mammal Stranding Center is dedicated to responding to marine mammals and sea turtles in distress along all of New Jersey’s waterways and to the rehabilitation of these animals for release back into the wild. In situations where animals may not be released, every effort is made to secure a proper, enriching facility to provide lifetime care. We are further committed to the well-being of marine mammals and to inspire responsible stewardship of our oceans through educational programs and collaboration.
