Guest Speaker: Frank Davenport
Earthenware and porcelain tablewares recovered from the wreck site of the sailing packet AURORA will be discussed together with the potters who made them and typical manufacturing techniques of the early 1800’s. Frank Davenport will offer this presentation on Thursday, September 20th, at 7:30PM.Attendees are welcome to arrive at 7:00 to enjoy our museum exhibit. Admission is $10.
Frank has been a student of English ceramics for many years and is a retired Patent Agent and Chartered Engineer.
The Squan Beach Lifesaving Station Preservation Committee is sponsoring the program, and NJHDA is associated with this group and displays some of its artifacts in the station. Proceeds benefit the Squan Beach Lifesaving Station.
