Morning Songbird & Shorebird Walk – Sandy Hook

Discover the birds of Sandy Hook!

Join the American Littoral Society’s expert birder, Dan Burgoyne, for a morning of birding along the coast as we explore Sandy Hook’s rich and diverse habitats.

We’ll walk through forests, marshes, and shoreline areas in search of shorebirds, songbirds, and more. Along the way, we’ll share bird ID tips and highlight that Sandy Hook is an important habitat for wildlife.​

Perfect for birders of all experience levels!

Meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Littoral Society office

Walking Distance: 1.5 miles round trip, dense sandy terrain

Please bring binoculars, sunscreen, bug spray, a water bottle, snacks, and appropriate footwear or hiking shoes for dense sandy terrain.

If the Society cancels, we’ll work with you to reschedule or transfer your booking.
