At The WindMill, we love the concept of thanks and giving and strive to bring this philosophy into our restaurants every day. During the year we try to support as many local charities and organizations as possible, and with covid, we were inspired to give our delicious food to the heroes on the frontline.

Two local non-profits still remain at the top of our list, Holiday Express and Fulfill.  Both have been highly affected by Covid 19. Holiday Express cannot bring the gift of kindness in person this year but will do virtual events. Fulfill is working harder than ever to end hunger throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Every Wednesday at The WindMill is Senior Day! Anyone 62 years of age and older is welcome to enjoy half-price regular hot dogs and hamburgers in Long Branch, West End, Red Bank and Belmar! Check-in with your local store for rules and restrictions.

While the deep origins of the hot dog can be traced back to either Frankfurt or Vienna, the American hot dog dates all the way back to the 1860s, when German immigrants started selling them from stands in New York City. Our history here at the Jersey Shore began in1963 in the Windmill shaped building on Ocean Avenue in Long Branch. We all know how good the food is at our favorite hot dog joint, but there are so many things they do behind the scenes to help out local communities, especially when times get tough.

The pandemic has closed the doors to our local restaurants but many are keeping us fed by offering pick-up and delivery. At the WindMill, you can still satisfy your cravings in the comfort and safety in your own home.

Speaking of comfort and safety, The WindMill works tirelessly with our county food bank FulFill. In addition to donating cases of hot dogs and chicken, The WindMill was also able to give FulFill 30,000 bags, gloves, AND a new disinfection station!

The WindMill also acknowledges and supports our healthcare workers, law enforcement and first responders. Recently they treated the staff at a Meridian sub-acute facility to dinner.
